How we work?
To find out how Painting with Light succeeds time and time again at creating striking experiences with lighting and multimedia, discover the four phases of our workflow...
We come up with an original concept in the concept design phase. Have you seen the light already? Great – we’ll use that as our starting point. Still no idea? Then we’ll design a powerful, creative, coherent concept from scratch – with our creative minds using reference images to produce moodboards. We select the best ideas from brainstorming sessions and draw initial sketches. Then our designers develop the creative ideas into unique concepts in line with your predefined wishes, which we present using virtual lighting simulations and visualisations.
In this phase, we convert the concept into a technically feasible solution. What are the best lighting installations? What video hardware is needed to bring the concept to life? We perform lighting calculations and projector studies, and choose the best control systems. We compile all the information in a clear and comprehensive diagram, draw up a list of required equipment and calculate an approximate budget. This is followed by a schematic presentation of the lighting and video scenarios for you as a customer to see the lighting effects and atmosphere generated. Then we test our ideas extensively using mock-ups and test rounds.
We start the technical design once we’ve received feedback for the schematic design.
We draw up a plan with detailed drawings and block diagrams for implementing the installation, and work out the control systems in detail. We fine-tune the list of equipment, including all the specifications and product codes. The final budget can now also be calculated and then it’s up to the installers!
Finally: light at the end of the tunnel! Now we can really bring our creative ideas to life. Painting with Light ensures a seamless integration and perfectly programs all the systems and elements such as lighting, video, audio and show control. One supervisor monitors everything and acts as the point of contact. We draw up an as-built plan and hand over the entire project. If you wish, we can of course also take care of all the installations’ maintenance and provide training for operational personnel.
Painting with Light ensures your lighting and multimedia project is a great success.
